What gutters and downspouts do

Gutters catch rain at the edge of the roof. Downspouts carry it to the ground and away from the building.

N

Protect the walls

Water runs off the roof in one place instead of down your siding and windows.

N

Protect the foundation

Downspouts move water away from the base of the building.

N

Protect doors and paths

No sheets of water pouring off the roof over entries and walkways.

N

Match the roof

We bend gutters and downspouts in the same colors as your panels and trim.

Gutter and downspout styles

Tell us the style you want, or send a photo of your building and we will help you pick.

K-style gutters

The most common gutter on homes. The flat back sits against the fascia, the board along the roof edge, and the curved front looks like crown molding.

Half-round gutters

A rounded gutter shaped like a pipe cut in half. It is often used on older homes and custom builds.

Box gutters

A square-sided gutter for commercial buildings and large roofs. It holds a lot of water and gives a clean, straight look.

Square downspouts

Square and rectangular downspouts are common on commercial buildings and with K-style and box gutters.

Round downspouts

Round downspouts pair well with half-round gutters for a classic look.

Square scuppers and collector heads

A scupper is an opening through a parapet wall, the short wall that rises above the edge of a flat roof. Water drains off the roof through the scupper instead of pooling.

A collector head is a metal box on the outside of the wall. It catches the water from the scupper and feeds it into a downspout. We make square scuppers to fit your wall and opening, in a color that matches your coping and trim.

Gutter questions

Still have a question? Call us at (817) 682-6977 or send your measurements.

What is the difference between seamless and sectional gutters?

Seamless gutters are formed in one long piece for each run, so there are no joints along the way to leak. Sectional gutters come in set lengths that are joined together. Ask us which works best for your building.

What size gutter do I need?

It depends on the size and slope of your roof and how hard it rains. Send us your roof measurements, and we will help you pick a size.

Can my gutters match my roof?

Yes. We bend gutters and downspouts in the same colors as our roof panels and trim. See our colors page.

What is a scupper?

A scupper is an opening that lets water drain off a flat roof through the wall around its edge. A collector head and downspout carry the water down to the ground.

Do you install gutters?

No. We make and sell the gutters, downspouts and scuppers. Your roofer or gutter crew installs them, and we can point you to installers.
